Founder beliefs are the way you get rewarded for spreading your religion wide. Reformation belief, yet another of the rough-edge oversights common to Civ 5. The other Reformation beliefs are to weak to warrant going so deep into Piety. The thing is, spies only add 5 religious pressure on a planted city, and it doesn't.
